Abstract
A Bíblia Hebraica preserva, em Gênesis 6:1-4, uma narrativa extremamente curta, pobre de detalhes e de difícil compreensão sobre misteriosos seres pré-diluvianos que se relacionam com mulheres humanas, dando origem a descendentes supostamente gigantes ou heróis. Seriam esses seres pré-diluvianos anjos ou apenas homens importantes, tais como governantes tiranos? Este artigo discute as identidades desses seres e de seus descendentes, seus relacionamentos com as mulheres humanas e os possíveis desdobramentos desses relacionamentos.
