Abstract
Se propone en el presente trabajo un procedimiento técnico para la purificación de virus herpes simplex por medio de centrifugación diferencial y gradientes de sucrosa en una concentración del 40 por ciento al 20 por ciento y centrifugación final a 40000 g. El 90 por ciento de las partículas obtenidas presentaron alrededor de sus capsides formaciones membranosas similares a las descritas en la literatura como de origen celular y naturaleza lipoproteica. Un 10 por ciento de las partículas se obtuvieron desnudas, algunas con sus capsides rotas. Se usó virus herpes hominis, cepa HF, en células de riñon de conejo. La infectividad de las partículas se comprobó por medio de técnicas inmunofluorescentes.
