Abstract
No presente artigo refletimos sobre a história particular do ensino do desenho – tratamos a passagem da visão tradicional à moderna e o olhar contemporâneo acerca do tema. Baseados no trabalho de pensadores como Ana Mae Barbosa, Arthur Efland, Juan Bordes e Elliot Eisner, buscamos situar e compreender as concepções que configuraram o ensino de desenho na história. Destacamos no estudo as implicações das ideias construídas historicamente no sentido de compreender e discutir os caminhos da educação em arte na contemporaneidade.
