Abstract
(ES) El nivel de la Enseñanza Primaria arrastró, al menos hasta 1970, una serie de defectos estructurales
debidos en gran medida a la normativa legal que, aunque iniciada antes de la I Restauración, se
desarrollaría plenamente durante dicho período.
Estos defectos afectaron, como mínimo, a la transición entre el fin de la escolarización obligatoria
y el comienzo de la vida laboral o la continuidad de los estudios, a la implantación de la Escuela
Graduada, a la continuidad de los planes de estudios y a la diferente prescripción de asignaturas
para niños y niñas. Basándonos en un análisis cuidadoso de la normativa correspondiente, extraemos algunas
consecuencias no deseables de su desarrollo en la práctica escolar.
(EN) The level of primary education in Spain dragged, at least until 1970, a series of structural defects
due largely to the legal regulations that, although initiated before the 1st. Restoration, would be
fully developed during that period.
These defects affected at least the transition between the end of compulsory schooling and the
beginning of working life or the continuity of studies, the introduction of the Graduate School, the
continuity of the curricula and the different prescription of subjects for boys and girls.
Based on a careful analysis of the corresponding regulations, we extract some undesirable
consequences of its development in the school practice.
