Abstract
Se presenta una clave dicotómica para determinar las diferentes especies de mariposas del género Morpho que habitan en Colombia, con ilustraciones sobre las genitalias de los principales subgéneros y fotografías (dorsal y ventral) de los adultos más representativos de ambos sexos. Para la determinación taxonómica de las especies, se siguieron los parámetros propuestos por Clarke (1941) con algunas modificaciones que simplifican la utilización de esta técnica. También, se tuvieron en cuenta aspectos morfométricos alares, patrones de coloración alar y características de las genitalias de los machos; en<br />algunos casos, se recurrió a la consulta de la literatura de referencia (Le Moult y Real, 1962; Blandin, 1984).
A dichotomous key is provided for determining the different species of butterflies of the genus Morpho from Colombia, with<br />ilustrations of the male genitalia and dorsal and ventral pictures of representative males and females of the main subgenera. For the study of the taxonomic characteristics of the species, the parameters given by Clarke (1941) were followed with some modifications that simplified the use of this technique. Wing<br />morphometrics and coloration patterns and mal e genitalia features were also included, in some cases, references of the literature were given (Le Moult & Real, 1962; Blandin, 1984).<br />
