Abstract
O presente artigo analisa formas nominais deverbais terminadas em -nte, como fertilizante, fumante ou entorpecente, dentro do arcabouço teórico da Morfologia Distribuída. Propomos que em sua estrutura morfossintática exista um núcleo flexional que concentra duas funções: introduzir um argumento externo e dar ao evento denotado pelo verbo mais encaixado uma interpretação genérica/habitual. Na análise, esse sintagma flexional interno também é constituinte de formas com a mesma terminação, mas com distribuição tipicamente adjetiva. Apresentamos argumentos para a abordagem sintática proposta e, nas seções finais do artigo, fazemos uma breve discussão sobre o tipo de referência associada a tais formas nominais.
