Abstract
В начале третьего тысячелетия рак яичников остается одним из самых тяжелых онкологических заболеваний. Учитывая биологические особенности рака яичников, формирование строгих стандартов лечения этой опухоли представляется крайне затруднительным. Выбор оптимального варианта лечения следует осуществлять строго индивидуально с учетом особенностей как организма больной, так и течения опухолевого процесса. Вместе с тем при назначении того или иного лекарственного препарата необходимо учитывать его эффективность и токсичность. Не следует стремиться к увеличению эффективности за счет усиления токсичности лечения, так как следует учитывать и качество жизни больных. При выборе химиотерапии обращают внимание на эффективность и оставшуюся токсичность после проведенного ранее лечения. При назначении лекарственных препаратов необходимо помнить и о фармакоэкономике, результаты которой внедряются в практику российских онкологов.
