Abstract
El reordenamiento de las entidades de ciencia e innovación en función de la producción y los servicios a ciclo cerrado, así como la elevación de la eficiencia de la actividad empresarial constituyen dos de los objetivos fundamentales del nuevo modelo económico cubano, con el fin de garantizar el desarrollo del país y la continuidad del socialismo. El vínculo de la misión y objetivos del Instituto Cubano de Investigaciones de los Derivados de la Caña de Azúcar (ICIDCA) con estos lineamientos y otros muchos en los diferentes ejes y políticas aprobadas, obligan a introducir cambios importantes en su gestión, estructura y procesos, los que son analizados en este artículo como caso de estudio. Palabras clave: innovación, eficiencia empresarial, productividad, exportación de ron. Abstract The reordering of science and innovation entities based on closed cycle production and services, as well as raising the efficiency of business activity, constitute two of the fundamental objectives of the new Cuban economic model, in order to guarantee the development of the country and the continuity of socialism. The link of the mission and objectives of the Cuban Sugarcane Derivatives Research Institute (ICIDCA) with these guidelines and many others in the different approved axes and policies, force to introduce important changes in its management, structure and processes, those that are analyzed in this article as a case study.
