Abstract
Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which induced the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), mainly invades respiratory tract and lung. Severe cases infected by SARS-CoV-2 progress to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), septic shock, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), which leads to death in some cases.
