Abstract
Geographically in Turkey, the performance art of clarinet has been continued its existence since the early XIXth century. As a result of introducing different personal manners,
imitations and transmissions, today’s Turkish Music clarinet performance style can be
formed. Selim Sesler is also an important performer and an example with his own style
of manner. The purpose of this study is; to present a kind of biographical study about
himself and to explain that it was performed by Selim Sesler on the album titled “Klarnet
ile Taksimler” which was first explained in this research without any information about
who was performed by him. However, through the use of a taksim score, the aim is to
prepare the ground for the use of a new clarinet manners in the Turkish Music clarinet
education in terms of the ornament techniques used and the writing of the melody structures for the works that can be done in the future. As the results of this study by listening
to the albums on solo and the other, melodic sentences in the taksims are closely related
to each other, in almost all he made rhythmic taksims in other albums, he has achieved
of skillfully expressing the advanced performance in improvisations.
