Abstract
Collective or Individual Ownership : Current Changes in Agricultural Land Practices in Senegal. The rural population's perception of their rights on lands is changing in Senegal and indicates a subtle move from community ownership to a search for individual security often confused with individual ownership in the sense of civil law. In the development of national land regimes, one should take into account these desires for real rights and meet them not in terms of all-out privatization, but in terms of land security and usufruct and guaranties of investments defining an equitable land regime.
Propiedad colectiva o individual: cambios actuales en las prácticas fundiarias agrícolas en Senegal. La percepción de la población rural sobre sus derechos sobre la tierra está cambiando en Senegal e indica una sutil transición de la propiedad comunitaria hacia la búsqueda de una seguridad individual, a menudo confundida con la propiedad individual en el sentido del derecho civil. En el desarrollo de los regímenes fundiarios nacionales, se deberían tomar en cuenta estas aspiraciones de derechos reales y atenderlas no en términos de una privatización a ultranza, sino en términos de seguridad fundiaria, usufructo y garantías para las inversiones que definan un régimen fundiario equitativo.
