Aim and Scope | The IJAAPR is dedicated to advancing knowledge by publishing outstanding research in a variety of fields. It upholds the policy that each paper must pass the requirements of an independent, double-blind peer-reviewing system and editing for the publication to be considered of high scientific and academic quality. This international peer-reviewed open access journal was initiated as a result of the primary advocacy and intention of the founding editor-in-chief to acknowledge the research outputs of senior high school students as well as the research of public and private school teachers and undergraduate and graduate students in order to have a wider distribution of the articles that others may use for their own respective studies. This is also anchored on the DepEd Order No. 66, s. 2007—Revised Guidelines on the Appointment and Promotion of Other Teaching, Related Teaching and Non-Teaching Positions, MEC Order No., 10 s. 1979—Implementing Rules and Regulations for the System of Career Progression for Public School Teachers, and the Republic Act No. 10912—An Act Mandating and Strengthening the Continuing Professional Development Program for All Regulated Professions, Creating Continuing Professional Development Council, and Appropriating Funds Therefor, and for Other Related Purposes, known as the “Continuing Professional Development Act of 2016”, in terms of innovation, research and development projects, and publication and authorship. The IJAAPR welcomes the submission of quality research in any of the following academic domains: (a) Academic Research: Basic Research, Educational Research, Action Research, and Classroom-based Research, and (b) Practical Research: Academic Track such as ABM (Accountancy, Business and Management), HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and GAS (General Academic Strand), Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track, Sports Track, and Arts and Design Track. Practical Research academic domains are aligned with the K to 12 Program in the Philippines which covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education—including two years of Senior High School (SHS)—to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship. Senior High School is two years of specialized upper secondary education; students may choose a specialization based on aptitude, interests, and school capacity. The choice of career track will define the content of the subjects a student will take in Grades 11 and 12. SHS subjects fall under either the Core Curriculum or specific Tracks. Each student in Senior High School can choose among three tracks: Academic; Technical-Vocational-Livelihood; and Sports and Arts. The Academic track includes three strands: Business, Accountancy, Management (BAM); Humanities, Education, Social Sciences (HESS); and Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM). |
