Este ensaio explora temáticas existentes no texto visual de Tudo sobre minha mãe, de Pedro Almodóvar e The Mother (2003) de Roger Michell, através de uma leitura semiótica das imagens e do (inter)intradiscurso das protagonistas. Em seguida, examina-se a construção do sujeito feminino maternal no filme de Almodóvar em analogia com o de Michell, com a finalidade de verificar convenções sociais sobre o sujeito feminino e identificar estereótipos e não-estereótipos da maternidade na cultura contemporânea.| Reference Key |
