Abstract
La devaluación de 2002 ha iniciado un proceso de crecimiento casi ininterrumpido de la actividad económica, que no encuentra antecedentes en la historia inmediata (y no tanto) de nuestro país. Dicho crecimiento presenta además varias particularidades que han sido objeto de una prolífica discusión. Este trabajo pretende contribuir a dicha discusión. A partir de un análisis particular de la estructura económica argentina, se pretende aportar a la caracterización de aquellos elementos que ayuden a comprender no sólo su desempeño reciente sino, específicamente, la tensión que parece existir entre crecimiento, generación de empleo asalariado y poder adquisitivo del salario.
The devaluation of the peso in 2002 has initiated a process of uninterrupted growth that has no precedents in our recent history. Moreover, this process shows some special characteristics that have been an object of a prolific discussion. The aim of this paper is to contribute to that discussion. Making use of a particular characterization of the argentinian economic structure, we pretend to collaborate not only to the analysis of its recent performance, but, specifically, to the study of the tension that seems to exist between growth, empleoyment and purchasing power of the salary.
