Spreading awareness of the value of the collection of the museum is one of the objectives worked hard on through the project that delineates this research. For that purpose several activities were developed and put in practice to gather data and significant information to write this report. Registering oral history was the main cog in the activities that were done to analyze the importance of the objects in the museum in relation to the evolution of technology in Santa Cruz and its impact on the lives of its inhabitants. In this sense, personal interviews and polls were made to get to know the opinion and personal experiences people had regarding the museum’s collection. Furthermore, talks and public lectures were given to groups of secondary and university level students to spread and make them recognize the value of the collection.
