Abstract
This paper identifies, based on different approaches around the theories of the cultural landscape, some tools for assessing it, focusing especially on the social perception. Is, therefore, a starting point for work that investigates the ways in which residents and visitors of the Landscape of Las Yungas’circuit perceived and how this perception can help tourism development projects. This study is the result of the analysis of articles on the perception and appreciation of cultural landscape in different regions of Latin America. The findings outlined here can help design an assessment tool to diagnose the cultural landscape from a global and systemic vision, charting the aspirations of the people in relation to the landscape, especially the Las Yungas’circuit in Tucuman. These considerations are addressed to specialists in urban planning, government and institutions that can influence urban policies in the province of Tucuman and the Argentine Northwest.
