Abstract
Las enfermeras trabajan con personas sanas y enfermas, por ello el saber enfermero debe ser también un saber acerca de los seres humanos, lo que implica una dimensión antropológica en este saber. En el presente artículo se estudia, mediante metodología cualitativa, cómo influye la deficiencia física (cojera) en la construcción de la identidad. Las personas entrevistadas han elaborado su identidad a partir de la fuerza de voluntad y con las estrategias de superación que han contribuido a aumentar su autoestima y a valorarse a sí mismo frente a la imagen de minusválidos con la que son representados por la sociedad.Nursing works with healthy and sick persons, for it to know nurse must be also one to know brings over of the human beings, which implies an anthropologic dimension in knowing this one. In the present article it is studied, by means of qualitative methodology, how it influences the physical deficiency (limp) in the construction of the identity. The interviewed persons have elaborated his identity from the will power and with the strategies of overcoming that has helped to increase his autoesteem and to be valued to yes same opposite to the handicapped persons image by the one that they are represented by the society.
