Many encyclopaedias were created through centuries, but only the digital era provided tools for simple browsing of large amounts of information. The first ideas of encyclopaedias on the Internet were born during the 1990s. The first project in that direction appeared at the end of 20th century, because the technical improvement of the Internet in terms of availability and transfer rate was achieved.
