Abstract
In Argentina, it has been experienced a revitalization of youth activism in recent years, especially in the kirchnerist movement. The question that moves us in this particular job is: how the activists themselves explain the emergence of a massive group of young people within the kirchnerism? We analyze what reasons their members build to explain this phenomenon and why they consider kirchnerism as the adequate space for its development. The hypothesis presented is that they reproduce the hegemonic representations in Argentina that postulates a political inactivity from young people during the neoliberal decade of the ‘90, followed by an activist irruption in recent years. The condition for that irruption would be the call to the youth and the redefinition of politics developed by the kirchnerism, a project that would represent opposite values to those that prevailed during the presidencies of Carlos Menem, between 1989 and 1999.Reference Key |
