Abstract
The experiment was developed at the Seed Laboratory of Forestry Sciences Department of Federal University of Paraná – UFPR, in order to determinate the effect of the temperature: 20, 25 and 30o C, and the remotion of the outer coat (endocarp and tegument) on seeds germination the Ocotea odorifera (Vel.) Rohwer. The diaspores were collected at Fazenda Rio Grande, Paraná State, in a remaining Ombrophylous Mixed Forest. It was adopted the entirely randomized statistical model, The diaspores without outer coat presented a higher germination percentage and germination speed.
