Under our supervision, there were 27 children aged 10 months to 10 years suffering from acute respiratory infections, in 14 of them we have introduced to the diet the functional food from plant material «Pollen with soluble fiber» and food for special use «Oat oil, lipophilic complex», «Black cumin oil, lipophilic complex». The analysis of the clinical symptoms showed no difference in the disease course, duration of symptoms of acute respiratory infections and therapy in both methods of treatment, with very similar clinical picture at the onset of the disease. Medical complex in the second group (13 patients) was significantly larger by the number of applied drugs, and the cost — significantly higher than in the comparison group. Therefore, the proposed treatment regimen with diet modification using functional foods from plant material can be recommended for practical use.
