Abstract
In December 2019, a new virus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) causing Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) emerged in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. SARS-CoV-2 is transmitted through respiratory droplets and object infected with droplets containing the virus. The diagnosis is made employing quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction to identify the viral nucleic acid in respiratory specimens or blood samples.Reference Key |
