Abstract
The adsorption of Astrozone Red on the activated coal from aqueous solutions was studied. The adsorption process followed the Lagergren first order kinetics equation. The adsorbent concentration affected the adsorption of Astrozone Red significiantly. The equilibrium data fit well in the Langmuir model and isotherm constants were calculated. The adsorption of Astrozon Red increased with increase of the pH value in the solution. The thermodynamics of adsorption indicated spontaneous and exothermic nature of the process.Reference Key |
